At Snow Camp 2026, ten young people, aged 17 to 19, took the exciting opportunity to learn a snow sport, choosing either skiing or snowboarding. Over two action-packed days, they hit the slopes and worked on their new skill, alongside volunteers from Snow Camp and youth workers from Hideaway.

As well as developing new sporting skills, participants explored and learned about the importance of wellbeing and what it means in their life. Throughout the course, they built confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills while challenging themselves in a completely new environment.

All ten young people successfully completed the programme and were awarded certificates, along with recognising their progress and achievements. They have the opportunity to follow on this with work experience and apprenticeships – we can’t wait to see what they do next.
