Oasis UK is a community-focused charity and movement that works across education, housing, health, justice, youth and family support to build inclusive neighbourhoods and tackle social inequality, empowering people to thrive

To mark 40 years of Oasis UK, their team took on a powerful challenge: a 40km relay run across Greater Manchester, connecting five of the region’s major hospitals. The route included:

These hospitals are home to our Navigators’, who are based in emergency departments across Greater Manchester and provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental support to young people who arrive at hospital due to violence or exploitation. By building trust and offering practical help, they create pathways away from harm and towards hope, a vital part of our work.

The 40km relay was more than a physical challenge, it was a moment to connect. Along the route, participants met with young people, professionals, and colleagues. They shared stories, reflected on the meaning of inclusion, and celebrated the partnerships that make this work possible.

We’re proud to collaborate with organisations like Oasis UK, who share our commitment to building safer, fairer communities. Events like this relay shine a light on the power of connection and the importance of ensuring that no one is left out.
