Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit

The ‘We Are Greater Than Violence: Education Hive’ is a free, supportive learning space that aims to create a sense of comradeship across the sector by offering solutions, discussing common challenges and providing collaboration opportunities around violence reduction.

​It has been developed as a direct response​ to feedback received from the education ​sector about wanting more support to​ enhance local connections and facilitate​ learning opportunities.

You can collaborate and engage with fellow professionals.

Access resources, research and techniques to improve student outcomes and wellbeing.
Receive feedback
Advocate for change by influencing and getting involved in discussions, initiatives, and the wider work of the Violence Reduction Unit.

Our education sector is vital in influencing and helping to ensure young people are safe, confident and happy – and that will ultimately reduce youth violence and keep young people across Greater Manchester safe.

The Education Hive, hosted on Knowledge Hub, is a forum for you to share best-practice and resources, but to also seek answers to questions or concerns collaboratively in a safe, online space.

How to join the Education Hive:

  1. Sign up to the Knowledge Hub platform.
  2. Request to join the Education Hive group.
  3. Once accepted, get started by browsing current content, adding your own content and thoughts, and by commenting on discussion topics – all related to and helping to keep children safe.
